On Thursday, September 8th was the Ground Breaking Ceremony at the New Walmart Distribution Center out at 500E and 500S.

Medic 9 & 12, Rescue 1 and Fire 2 all lined up ready to mkae noise at the time of the turning of the dirt by the City Government and Walmart Officals.

Training inservice on Saturday 8/20/05 @ the Grant County Highway Garage.  Guest Speakers: Lifeline, Coroner Office.  Special Thanks to Foreman's & Son and Harner's Wrecker's Service for the Cars, Tony Smith for opening the Highway Garage for us, Lifeline Helicopter: Mason Hendricks-Pilot, Peg Iler-Flight Nurse, Keith Dwyer-Flight Medic, & Daphne Heflin-Flight Nurse, Roger Eib from the Coroner's Office.

A very special thanks to Rob Dornsief, Jason Imel, Josh Hale,  & Kent Helpling Anderson Fire for training us on different scenerios.  Especially the tunneling exercise where a car is under a trailer of a Semi and we had to tunnel thru the trunk to get to the driver

Members from Gas City Rescue, Jonesboro Volunteer Fire Dept, Upland Volunteer Fire Dept, and Mill Twp Volunteer Fire Dept.  We are getting our instructions on what the extricaation inservice was going to cover and dividing up into 4 groups 

Here is another Scenerio we went through is where a car in a ditch on its side and we had to stabilize the car.

Ronnie form Jonesboro Voluntee Fire Department learning how to use the extrication tools.  Jonesboro and Green Twp are the only Fire Departments in the County that doesnt do Rescue.  Jonesboro does assist us on rescue runs in their area and they help us out to the I-69 speedway

This is just one of the Scenerios that we trained on at the inservice.  The car was stuffed under the rear of the Semi and in this scenerio we had to "Tunnel" through the trunk to get to the passenger compartment.
